Message So dead cylinders seem to be an epidemic lately. I've followed the other couple posts, but here is what I've got.

Dropped a used engine in my 91TT with brand new 95 EFI. Car already had series 2 PTU. Car started up after swap, but test runs didn't feel like full power.

Verified dead cylinder 6 with power balance test and so far have done the following:

*Swapped coils
*Swapped plugs
*Checked F11, 28, and 39 grounds
*Verified 12v on middle terminal of coil pack connector/plenum ground
*Verified 12v on middle terminal and ground of coil pack connector
*Failed visual spark test grounded to the plenum
*Reseated F1 connector on ECU

I kept the old style CAS but I can rule it out because the car does start?

I can rule out continuity issues to the ECU since I'm seeing voltage at the coil pack (and hopefully because EFI is brand new)?

I did have to re-pin the F1 connector to my original one because I broke the new one pushing it thru the firewall, but I re-checked pins and all look fine.

I've swapped the PTU, and continuity tested both with similar readings. Is it still possible that both are bad? Could it be ECU related at all?
